POSITION LIGHTING

Applications:

LED Position Lights are an improvement over standard incandescent quartz type lights. G. S. I. Inc.'s LED Position Lights can be used as a whole fixture on new aircraft or as a replacement for the lens and cover on existing aircraft.

Features:

For retrofit or existing position lights, simply remove the hold-down screw for the
outer cover, remove cover, and then take out the lamp. Insert the "plug" into the lamp socket of the existing NAV Light and re-attach the new LED housing to the
existing base.

The NAV Lights are also available in a dual mode version for NVIS
compatibility or covert requirements.

Tail Position Light Assembly:

The Tail Position Light Assembly includes a white LED array with an IR LED directly above the white LED. The unit is form-fit and function. It's plug-in feature uses the same bayonet housing as the lamp connecting to the original bayonet holder of the aircraft. The assembly has solid state circuitry used to switch between visible or IR LEDs. This circuitry also supports flash patterns and dimming from the control box. The white LED array has a friendly IR filter and is form-fit to the existing assembly part. Visible light emitted is in accordance with
Aviation White as per SAE-AS-25050.

Wing Position (Navigation) Light:

Wing Position Lights include solid state circuitry to switch between visible or IR LEDs. This circuitry also supports flash patterns and dimming. The port and starboard wing tip lights replace the existing incandescent lamps and use plug-in units, which use the same bayonet base sockets as the existing lamp to the bayonet holder. Aviation Red and Aviation Green are available per SAE-AS-25050.
