 Primary Connectors General Information

 Efla's Primary Connectors are designed to comply with specification FAA AC 150/5345-26B, which contains requirements for plugs and receptacles (cable connectors) used with shielded underground power  cables (KD 500 Series) and unshielded underground power cables 
(KD 510 Series). 

                                   Construction Pins & Sockets:

The contact parts are made from tin-plated copper. The socket is  supplied with a copper beryllium sleeve-type spring assuring excellent contact pressure.

                                                      Housing:

The plug and receptacle insulation is manufactured from Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) with exceptional protective environmental  resistance and fluid resistance. They are capable of withstanding attacks from chemicals typically present on the airfield. The insulation also resists exposure to UV-radiation and o-zone.



                     Each kit contains:
◙  1 pair of plug and receptacle housings.

◙  1 pair of pin and socket connectors.

◙  1 locking device (polypropylene).

◙  Silicone grease.

◙  Cleaning cloth.

In addition, in the KD 500 Series:

◙  2 grounding connectors (tin-plated brass) with 13.7 in (34.8 cm) long, 0.098 in (0.249 cm) in copper wires.

◙  1 grounding connector with 2 screws (nickel-plated brass); connector housing of polyamide 6.6.

 Secondary Connectors General Information

 Efla's Secondary Connectors are manufactured in accordance with FAA Specification AC-150/5345-26B,
that contains requirements for plugs and receptacles.

Each kit contains:

◙  1 plug or receptacle housing.

◙  1 body of metal connectors.

◙  2 pin or socket connectors.

◙  Silicone grease.

◙  Cleaning cloth.

                              Construction Pins & Sockets:
The material of the contact parts is of tin-plated copper.


                                                   Packing:
The standard packing for both primary and secondary connector kits is of recyclable cardboard, size 46.4 x 30.7 x 19.6 in (117.85 x 77.98 x 49.78 cm), on a wooden pallet. Each connector kit is individually packed in low density polyethylene plastic bags. On request, the connector kits can be packed in seaworthy wooden crates. Installation instructions are included with the standard packing of 100 pieces.
